Legal Counsel - Contract Specialist

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of contract law and be skilled in negotiation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough legal opinions and guidance on various matters, including contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating.
  • Conduct land-related legal due diligence and title verification for project development, assessing risks associated with land procurement and right-of-way.
  • Review final bid submissions for infrastructure projects, handle bid-related legal queries, and provide prompt clarifications to the bidding team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Evaluate contractual, corporate, and land-related risks for smooth transition and integration.
  • Engage in direct negotiations with external stakeholders and counterparties, ensuring favourable legal positioning while maintaining business objectives.

Requirements:

  • Able to conduct thorough risk analysis before entering into agreements/contracts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in law or a related field, with relevant professional experience.
  • Proven track record of success in contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.
