Job Description

Ola Cabs is a leading mobility platform that transforms the way millions of people move every day.

The role we are looking for an experienced Associate Director – Legal to partner with business, operations, and regulatory teams.

The focus will be on ensuring Ola Cabs operates with speed, compliance, and integrity in a highly dynamic regulatory environment.

This includes:

  • Advising business teams on mobility laws, licensing, permits, and aggregator regulations across India.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements with drivers, fleet operators, vendors, partners, and government agencies.
  • Supporting policy and regulatory engagement, working closely with government authorities and industry bodies on emerging mobility frameworks.
  • Managing consumer litigation, regulatory disputes, and class actions; formulating strategy with external counsel.
  • Ensuring compliance with consumer protection, competition, data privacy, and labour laws impacting the platform.
  • Partnering with operations, driver relations, safety, and customer service teams to embed compliance-by-design.
  • Identifying and mitigating legal and reputational risks in new business initiatives, pilots, and product launches.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A strong background in law, preferably with 12-16 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience in technology, platform, or regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian mobility/transport laws, consumer protection frameworks, and platform liability.
  • Proven track record in commercial contracts, disputes, and regulatory engagement.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
