About the Role

As a seasoned professional in land acquisition, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing land procurement activities for wind projects. You will play a crucial role in creating a land pool for under construction wind projects and to create a pipeline for project development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including engineering, project management, legal, and finance, to ensure seamless land acquisition for wind energy projects.
  • Assess risks in land acquisition and recommend mitigation plans.
  • Lead due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Identify suitable developers/aggregators for renewable energy projects.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination to meet project timelines and objectives.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Significant experience in land acquisition involving Revenue/Private/Forest Land.
  • Minimum 12 Years of hands-on experience in Land procurement/acquisition for Wind and/or solar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective communication with team members, cross functional teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of government policies, permits, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects and land acquisition.
  • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to forests and land.
  • Ability to conduct preliminary due diligence checks on lands and assess land risks.
  • Proven ability to secure lands within targeted timelines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to execute land procurement targets, plans, and project development activities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and sustainability principles.
