Experienced Cybersecurity Leader

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to lead cybersecurity audit engagements and develop recommendations for improvement in key controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead global cybersecurity audit engagements, including risk assessments, audit planning, control evaluation, report drafting, and issue closure verification.
  • Participate in audits, perform timely reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure deliverable deadlines are met, department and professional standards are adhered to, and consistent methodology is utilized.
  • Communicate audit findings to management, identifying opportunities for improvement in key controls.
  • Establish relationships with senior cybersecurity stakeholders, building a culture of engagement while adding value.
  • Work closely with Audit colleagues to identify emerging control issues and report them to Audit management and business stakeholders.
  • Recognize the confidential nature of Internal Audit communications and access to information; exercise discipline in protecting confidentiality and security.
  • Partner with stakeholders, business management, other control groups, external auditors, and regulators, establishing strong working relationships while maintaining independence.
  • Finalize audit findings and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment by developing recommendations to strengthen internal controls.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant cybersecurity experience in internal/external auditing.
  • Experience with core cybersecurity operations and one or more cyber security tools/process areas (e.g. network security, end point security, email security, cloud security).
  • Bachelor's degree (or relevant financial services experience) required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology processes, such as change management, security operations, technology operations, and business resiliency.
  • Ability to multitask and execute audit activities with minimal supervision. Strong analytical skills particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills include:

  • Professional certification (e.g. CISA, CISM, CISSP, CEH, GIAC etc.) or willingness to pursue required.
