UAS Compliance Manager
Job DescriptionThe role involves strategic planning and execution of certification and compliance activities related to UAS regulations.
This role also involves studying and implementing various national and international regulations with respect to certification and compliance requirements of UAS in civil and defense sectors.
Candidates will closely interact, work, and collaborate with stakeholders from the product management, V&V, E&E, SW, design, development, prototype, production, certification bodies, DGCA, QCI, BIS, DFI, AUVSI, CEMILAC, and external test laboratories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with internal stakeholders to obtain an in-depth understanding of products, test requirements; generate requirement proposals and execution plans along with timeline requirements.
- Study and understand tender documents, scheme documents, compliance standards, drone rules, and generate test requirements proposal and obtain agreements with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure correct TC documentation, tests executions, TC audits, and cooperation with CB for expeditious releases of SoCs.
- Work with external stakeholders like CB/ATE, DGCA, and QCI to make them understand the product environment and compliances.
- Effective communications and collaborations with CB, DGCA, QCI, CEMILAC, DFI, BIS, etc.
- Timely study of regulatory drafts and feedbacks in the interest of IdeaForge. Study and analysis of international regulations and preparation of presentations and compliance roadmaps.
- Creation and maintenance of certification roadmap in cooperation with product management and strict adherence in execution.
- Planning and execution of periodic internal audits to identify/analyze compliance risks and implement mitigation measures with respective departments.
- Team management, KRAs, and appraisals.
Qualifications:
- B Tech/M Tech in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in technical compliances, minimum 5 years in UAS industry.
- Exceptional understanding and hands-on experience working with regulatory frameworks – National/International.
- Proven experience with product testing, process analysis, and certification activities.
