Job OverviewThis role provides critical counsel and advice to management on significant infrastructure matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. As a senior advisor, you will serve as the software asset management practice for our Global Infrastructure Engineering Services Shared Services team.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and implementation of software asset management strategies across our global infrastructure engineering services shared services team.
- Provide expert reporting support for IBM ILMT/BigFix and Flexera Inventory software discovery systems.
- Respond to requests from end users, managers, product owners, and team members for specific software asset management information, often consolidating data from multiple platforms.
- Collaborate with department leadership and vendors to manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and limit costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
- Identify and capitalize on savings opportunities for software licensing and services.
- Maintain internal software asset management databases and assist in the development/deployment of training programs and materials.
- Solid understanding of software license management for IBM, including experience with relational database design concepts and the ability to extract meaningful results from disparate data sources.
- Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and the ability to formulate complex strategies to fit basic business needs.
- Ability to communicate and articulate concepts to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in both verbal and written form.
- Strong documentation skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience managing reporting for IBM BigFix or Flexera tool.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 13-16 years of experience working with system-generated data/reporting, license management, and experience with IBM software product catalogs.
Salary Estimate: $140,000 - $170,000 per year
