The Enterprise Monitoring Systems Engineer (Infrastructure Engineer Advisor) will implement, support, administer and operate enterprise monitoring solutions. Cigna is a multinational company and a leading global health services provider, dedicated to helping people improve their health, wellbeing and sense of security.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and implement the Thousand Eyes product
  • Support other End User Experience Monitoring products including Aternity
  • Support monitoring products and solutions, to including implementation, migrations, documentation and decommissioning
  • Conduct periodic reviews and rationalize installed products
  • Optimize and automate solutions to increase performance, availability and reduce cost
  • Integrate infrastructure components into existing monitoring products
  • Provide escalation support to engineering, operations and other staff
  • Contribute to best practice creation and maintenance

Qualifications Required:

  • A collaborative attitude and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing enterprise monitoring systems
  • Firm grasp of network and application protocols (Cisco certification preferred - CCNA, etc.)
  • Experience with Cloud/SaaS software products is highly desirable
  • Experience maintaining or implementing LAN/WAN environments
  • Familiarity with web technologies (deployment, maintenance, debugging) including REST APIs
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication abilities
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Enjoy a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Able to juggle and accomplish tasks in tight timeframes
  • Experience working on Agile SCRUM & KANBAN teams
