Lead our procurement operations as a seasoned Purchase Manager and take charge of sourcing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts for mining equipment, spare parts, explosives, fuel, and other consumables. Develop strategic vendor relationships to ensure timely supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategically plan procurements based on market trends and logistics costs to achieve cost savings.
- Establish partnerships with local and international suppliers to meet inventory needs.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of supplier performance, focusing on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize inventory planning.
- Manage contracts with logistics providers for mineral transportation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in procurement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 4–5 years in the minerals/mining sector.
- Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
