Business Growth Manager


Job Description:
  • Purpose:
    • Drive business growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion, focusing on industry verticals and territories.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Formulate sales plans for assigned verticals/territories, identifying potential clients, highlighting customer requirements, and forecasting market trends.
    • Monitor sales targets at the territory/vertical level, highlighting deviations, and initiating corrective action as required.
    • Ensure adherence to sales budgets at the territory level.
    • Identify potential business opportunities from multiple channels and develop pursuit plans.
    • Negotiate and finalize terms with clients in product specifications, payment terms, and timelines, obtaining approval from the reporting manager.
    • Build and maintain relationships with customers in the territory, facilitating deep understanding of their needs and resolving queries efficiently.
    • Identify opportunities for integrated solutions, involving motors/automation products systems, and report to managers.
    • Document customer specifications in relevant formats and forward to concerned departments.
    • Liaise with operations teams to ensure order execution in line with predefined timelines and criteria.
    • Communicate changes in order specifications to concerned departments.
    • Ensure collections from clients as per contractual agreements.
    • Dispatch goods to client sites according to delivery schedules.
    • Adhere to policies/processes enhancing response quality and minimizing response time to customer queries.
    • Lead establishment of service centers or identify partner agencies for quick after-sales services.
    • Provide technical support to customers on after-sales-related issues.
    • Resolve customer complaints within predefined timelines.
    • Properly log and update customer interaction activities in appropriate systems.
    • Respond timely to customer queries/issues raised during finalization/execution/post-execution sales.
    • Liaise with distributors/dealers networks and escalate significant issues to superiors.
    • Effectively manage dealer-related activities such as stock booking, invoicing, and payments.
    • Keep abreast with territorial developments and provide data to marketing teams on potential opportunities for expansion/diversification into new markets/geographies.
    • Discuss future plans with superiors based on reported details.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient in formulating sales plans, identifying business opportunities, negotiating client terms, and maintaining customer relationships. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills are essential.
