Investment Research Specialist

Job Summary:

  • We seek a highly skilled Investment Research Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, incorporating scenario analysis, DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant valuation methods.
  • Create accurate assumptions and valuations with supporting rationale, ensuring thorough analysis of financial data.
  • Screen large datasets to identify investment opportunities and assist Portfolio Managers in their decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to discuss investment ideas and stock updates.
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings.
  • Compile pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic reports.
  • Maintain databases to support research efforts.
  • Analyze news articles to inform investment decisions.
  • Support ad hoc research requests from clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation-making skills.
  • Ability to think critically through drivers and KPIs across various sectors.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and effective communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workflows under tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to build complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Experience with earnings sensitivity analysis and providing own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations.
  • Writing skills with the ability to present information in a logical and structured manner.
  • Proficiency in writing bulletins and one-page summaries.
  • Linking macro/industry analysis to research output.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Other relevant skills, including collecting news, summarizing, and providing analysis that adds value, as well as preparing charts, tables, and databases.
