The role of an HVAC Service Technician is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioners, chillers, furnaces, air handlers, and ventilation units.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal performance of HVAC equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and suggest effective solutions.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Adjust system controls to enhance performance and ensure energy efficiency.
  • Test and balance air and hydronic systems to meet performance standards.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records, documenting all work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service calls.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to resolve system issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Ability to use HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and occupational health regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and withstand varying weather conditions.
