Job Overview

This role oversees the scheduling of the production floor and its management to achieve organizational objectives. Ensuring a secure work environment and continually improving operational processes through ELS and problem-solving are also key responsibilities.

  • Create shop floor schedules that meet customer demand and plant goals, taking into account factors such as timely delivery, efficiency, and scrap reduction.
  • Possess hands-on experience with all heat treatment equipment (SQF, Carburizing process for Gear manufacturing), as well as metallurgy inspection skills and troubleshooting expertise in HT processes.
  • Familiarity with basic gear machining principles.
  • Will to work flexible shifts.
  • Plan shift personnel to meet organizational goals.
  • Promote and sustain ELS disciplines and improvements, ensuring standardized practices are followed wherever applicable, and knowledge of quality management systems is maintained.
  • Evaluate shop floor training needs, including cross-training, and provide necessary support.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by promoting safety awareness.
  • Monitor production personnel's performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead by example to foster a participative and continuous improvement culture within the organization.
  • Ensure regulatory standards and company policies are understood, supported, and adhered to on the shop floor.
  • Support the implementation of key certification requirements – EBEA, ISO14001, EQS, IATF, MESH.
