Event Host and Facilitator

This is a key role in hosting, presenting, and facilitating various events, shows, and functions. The person will play a crucial part in leading the flow of events with enthusiasm, maintaining audience engagement, and ensuring the smooth execution of activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Event Hosting and Presenting
  • The event host will serve as the official presenter for university events, conferences, workshops, seminars, cultural functions, sports events, and other programs.
  • They will deliver live commentary and engage with the audience to create a lively and vibrant atmosphere.
  • The event host will introduce speakers, dignitaries, and guests, ensuring a smooth transition between different segments of the event.
  • They may also conduct interviews, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions when required.
Audience Engagement
  • The event host will engage with the audience through interactive elements, ice-breakers, and informative segments.
  • They must maintain an energetic, friendly, and professional demeanor to ensure the audience is continuously engaged.
  • The event host will ensure all event timings are adhered to and manage transitions between segments.
Content Preparation
  • They will work closely with the event team to understand the theme, objectives, and content of the event.
  • The event host will prepare scripts, speeches, and presentations in alignment with the event's tone and message.
  • They must research relevant topics and information to provide accurate and engaging content.
Coordination with Organizers and Teams
  • They will collaborate with event coordinators, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.
  • The event host will provide feedback and suggestions to improve the flow of the event.
Brand Representation
  • They will represent the university in a positive, professional, and articulate manner during public interactions.
  • The event host will ensure that the university's vision, values, and messages are consistently communicated during all events.
Social Media and Digital Engagement
  • They will assist in promoting events through social media platforms and university channels.
  • The event host may record short video snippets, interviews, or highlights from the event for promotional use.
