Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about database administration, design, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance for SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB. They should also have experience with database migrations and deployments, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing databases, ensuring they are properly maintained, and managing deployments. They will also work with the security team to ensure database security, manage database migrations between servers and versions, troubleshoot and resolve any issues with databases, and develop and maintain documentation related to databases.

In addition to these technical responsibilities, the Senior Database Developer will work closely with other IT team members, including the development team, to ensure system availability and performance. They will create Change Management Requests with IT and Development, support reporting team members with database queries and data requirements, provide Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support, and work with the development team members for AI integrations.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a DBA, with a focus on SQL Server, MySQL, and MongoDB
  • Excellent knowledge of database administration, design, and maintenance
  • Experience with database migrations and deployments
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work during US Central time zone hours
  • Experience working with vendor support is a plus
  • Familiarity with Change Management processes
  • Experience supporting reporting team members with database queries and data requirements
  • Experience providing Power BI (and other reporting platforms) support
  • Familiarity with AI integrations
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
  • Experience in creating interactive dashboards and visualizations
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
