We are seeking a highly skilled senior leader to spearhead our database administration efforts.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Oracle RAC, Grid Installation, and Performance Tuning. They should possess excellent problem-solving skills, be able to traverse infrastructure layers, and diagnose issues from SQL to Application to Database to System to Storage.

A strong understanding of Oracle database architecture, HA features, backup recovery options, and ability to work under pressure in production environments are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expert-level understanding of Oracle database architecture
  • Ability to work with development, storage administrators, network administrators, system administrators, and business users to resolve performance issues
  • Specialized knowledge of Oracle RAC, with a good understanding of its complexity across servers, OS, network, and storage layer
  • Experience working on Oracle Engineered systems, including Exadata, SSC box, and ExaCM
  • SQL tuning skills and experience refactoring SQL queries to improve performance
  • Ability to diagnose performance issues from SQL to Application to Database to System to Storage
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to traverse infrastructure layers to diagnose issues
  • Expertise in HA features of Oracle database
  • Complete understanding of Oracle database's backup recovery options
  • Able to work under pressure in production environments on databases across various OS flavors
