Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Services Technician to support the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

As a key member of our project teams, you will work closely with engineers, designers, and technicians to ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborating with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assisting in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintaining drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Supporting project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
