Cloud Solutions Architect

About this role:

We're seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead our cloud infrastructure on AWS.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across environments.
  • Manages AWS services, working with internal groups as required to ensure system availability meets project needs.
  • Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS).

You will provide technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization, and collaborate closely with our DevOps and Infrastructure teams to promote higher uptimes, better user experience, and future improvements to the overall cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization.
  • Develop scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring tasks.
  • Provide technical support on AWS-related issues, monitor solutions, and implement strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks.
  • Work with Infrastructure and Product teams on AWS design and architecture and assist with Proof-of-Concept development and testing.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, and Solutions Architect - Associate.

Required Skills:

  • AWS certifications such as Cloud Practitioner, SysOps Administrator, and Solutions Architect - Associate.
  • 3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail.
  • 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Experience on cloud architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices.
  • Intermediate networking concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in outsourced/managed services environments.
  • Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian and other DevOps tools.
  • Strong networking knowledge.
