Job Title: Financial Operations Specialist

MIR Digital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join their Corporate Finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable functions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Canadian taxes, experience with QuickBooks, and proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Process and reconcile vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including expense summaries and aging reports.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data by maintaining and updating the accounts payable ledger.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial analyst role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
