Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Database Application Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing technical support for database environments, troubleshooting complex issues, and optimizing system performance.

About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level technical support for Informix database platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to Informix, Embedded C, ISAM, ESQL, and C programming
  • Perform system monitoring, health checks, and performance tuning to ensure optimal database performance
  • Manage application deployments and updates, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues
  • Monitor database performance, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to improve efficiency
  • Develop and maintain Embedded C and C programs for application functionality, as well as optimize code for performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with development teams, database administrators, and end-users to provide training and support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration and technical support
  • Expert-level knowledge of Informix database platforms and related technologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
