Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating detailed engineering drawings for high voltage projects.

Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Create accurate and detailed engineering drawings for high voltage projects, including substation designs and transmission line layouts;
  • Develop and deliver EC&I deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design and switchgear configurations using both 2D and 3D software packages;
  • Collaborate closely with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure design activities are coordinated across various departments, including Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission Line;
  • Conduct design reviews and participate in virtual meetings to facilitate the design process;
  • Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
Requirements:
  • Possess a Diploma or Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution;
  • Have a minimum of five years and a maximum of ten years of experience in the field of Substation Transmission & Distribution, Renewable (Onshore & Offshore wind/ Solar), BESS projects;
  • Experience on working in Raster image files;
  • Familiarity with UK projects is preferred;
  • Experience in Onshore wind, Offshore wind, Renewable (solar) and BESS projects is preferred;
  • Familiarity with 3D tools (Revit) for Engineering design is desirable.
