Expert Credit Analysts play a pivotal role in the Risk Function, serving as the second line of defense. Their primary responsibility is to manage Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) for various clients.

This Senior Analyst position within RISQ/RMA/HPC involves covering a portfolio of clients across one or several client types covered by the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze financial data to prepare high-quality analysis addressing credit risk and transaction risk.
  • Perform risk assessments, including conducting due diligence on clients when required.
  • Effectively challenge credit ratings and credit limits proposed by the first line of defense.
  • Monitor risk exposures and counterparty creditworthiness across a broad range of metrics and indicators.
  • Raise alerts as necessary to the business, first line of defense, and 2nd line of defense management.
  • Review or propose risk mitigation strategies when deemed necessary.
  • Present recommendations for risk limits, one-off transactions, and credit ratings to risk officers with delegations.
  • Coordinate credit requests, liaise with Business Lines, Legal staffs, Global advisory divisions, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to transversal analysis and projects, such as reviewing methodologies or CCR management processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong quantitative skills.
  • Experience in reading and understanding legal documentation.
  • Ability to independently form, defend, and enforce a risk judgment and take decisions.
  • Good analysis and synthesis abilities; relevancy and objectivity in analysis.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior personnel, both internally and with clients.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, OTC traded products, Securities lending business, and committed financing facilities.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate counterparty risk and financial condition utilizing quantitative and qualitative data.

Profile Required:

  • 5+ years of overall credit analysis experience preferably in Financial Institution space.
  • CA degree/MBA (in Finance) from a reputed institution.
  • Additional certification like Financial Risk Management (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) would be a plus.
