Structural Engineer Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in structural analysis, finite element modeling, and materials science.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist internal services to ensure technical expertise on structural calculations.
  • Monitor evaluations and tests carried out by customers, ensuring expertise on returns and proposing solutions.
  • Act as interface with customers for modeling field, providing technical guidance and support.
Requirements:
  • Proficient in Siemens Simcenter (Simcenter 3D, Nastran) for structural analysis.
  • Strong experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) with a deep understanding of metallic materials (steel, aluminum, titanium).
  • Expertise in composite materials (carbon, glass, sandwich structures) and their mechanical behavior.
  • Ability to model and analyze hybrid metal/composite assemblies, ensuring accuracy and precision in simulation results.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or industrial standards related to structural calculations.
  • Skilled in post-processing simulation results (deformations, stresses, modal analysis, buckling, fatigue).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and structured technical calculation reports.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with design, testing, and manufacturing teams.
  • Ability to work in a project-based environment, meeting deadlines and quality requirements.
