Structural Design Engineer - Oil

Job Description:

  • This role involves performing basic & detail design engineering activities for assigned projects in Petrochemical Plants, Oil & Gas Plants.

Position Purpose:

  • Design and review of project specific specifications, design calculations/analysis, procurement specification.
  • Interface with other disciplines, user departments, and clients.
  • Estimation/engineering work related to bids.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualification: Bachelor/Master's Degree in civil and structural engineering.
  • Skills Required: STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAP, STAAD Foundation preferable.
  • Conversant with StaadPro & SAP software.
  • Working knowledge of Auto Cad and other 3D tools like Tekla Structure, Navisworks, SPR etc.
  • Jacket and Topside pre-service analysis.
  • Jacket Impact Analysis.
  • Pile Drivability Analysis.
  • Preparing load calculations and loading sketches.
  • Basic knowledge of Industrial Architecture, PHE and Roadways.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of structural steel/reinforced concrete design & detailing of Process/non process buildings Machine foundations Pipe rack Factory Buildings etc.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and piping.
  • Strong organizational skills, technical competence, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide supporting design calculations.
  • Must have experience in independently reviewing analysis files.
  • Strong knowledge of strength, buckling, fatigue, and dynamic behavior of structures.

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with 3D environment working with software such as SP3D, TEKLA.
  • Team leads in medium to large size relevant projects.
  • Process knowledge and ability to develop team.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to produce coherent, self-explanatory reports.
