Job Overview:

The Technical Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring that our systems, hardware, tools, and services are running securely, reliably, and efficiently.

This role combines infrastructure management with technical execution and requires someone who enjoys solving practical problems and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system uptime, health, and performance across development and production environments.
  • Troubleshoot issues (local and remote) across operating systems, software, networks, and cloud systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with DevOps teams to resolve recurring issues.

Infrastructure & Security:

  • Configure machines, access controls, and user permissions for new and existing team members.
  • Support secure practices such as system hardening, OS patching, and routine compliance audits.
  • Assist in CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure improvements and documentation.

Hardware & Vendor Management:

  • Coordinate hardware procurement: sourcing laptops, peripherals, and licenses as per project needs.
  • Work with vendors for equipment purchases, service warranties, and support escalations.
  • Track inventory, machine handovers, and replacement cycles using internal systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve remote hardware/software issues during onboarding and day-to-day operations.

Team Enablement & Documentation:

  • Act as a first point of contact for internal technical requests.
  • Maintain internal documentation, runbooks, and asset registers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure smooth operational workflows.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in technical operations, IT support, infrastructure, or DevOps assistance.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/macOS systems, basic networking, and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and remote access tools.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools, Git, basic scripting, or task automation.
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills — especially with remote teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to juggle multiple requests and maintain system hygiene and documentation.
