Job Title: Proposal Writer

We are a professional services firm seeking an experienced Proposal Writer to support our federal contracting efforts. As we expand our presence in the federal market, this role requires strong background knowledge of US government RFPs and the ability to develop compliant, compelling, and well-structured proposals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and responding to federal RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and task orders, as well as collaborating with capture teams, SMEs, and leadership to gather inputs. A key aspect of this role is the ability to write and edit proposal content that is clear, persuasive, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret federal RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and task orders to ensure compliance and effective response.
  • Develop and maintain compliance matrices to ensure all submissions meet solicitation requirements.
  • Collaborate with capture managers, business development, and technical experts to gather inputs and create cohesive proposal content.
  • Manage the proposal development lifecycle, including reviews, deadlines, and final submission.
  • Maintain a library of past performance, resumes, and reusable proposal content.
  • Proofread, format, and standardize documents for consistency and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience writing proposals for US federal government contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the federal acquisition process (FAR/DFAR).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • US citizenship or work authorization required.
