Cloud Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Security Specialist, you will be responsible for defining, building, and shaping the future of our cloud security posture.

This is an opportunity to strengthen our defense mechanisms, enhance our compliance posture, and make a meaningful impact on global security initiatives.

  • Detecting, identifying, and analyzing vulnerabilities across our cloud environment.
  • Assessing the risk of detected vulnerabilities to determine their true impact.
  • Supporting stakeholders as a subject-matter expert to understand technical details of vulnerabilities and steps to carry out remediation.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to track issues until closure.
  • Acting as a subject-matter expert for new projects in terms of vulnerability management lifecycle.
  • Managing, maintaining, and tuning tools used to support the VM process.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest security and technology developments.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role such as vulnerability management specialist.
  • Experience with Qualys or other security vulnerability detection technology required.
  • Subject-matter expert level understanding in multiple IT, Security, and Software disciplines.
  • Ability to understand the cause and effect of application vulnerabilities with Operating System Vulnerabilities.
  • Multitasking and tracking large amounts of information across disparate systems.
  • Defining future strategy/policy with regards to Enterprise.
  • Adherence to continuous monitoring and improvement thought process.
  • Technical IT skills, ability to understand and manage different OS flavors, network technologies, and topologies.
  • Security expertise in various cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Interfacing with internal or external organizations regarding problems that must be addressed to enhance security posture.
  • Effectively translating and presenting solutions in business or management terms.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Python scripting or other languages is a plus.
  • Documentation and analytical skills; documenting processes, policies, and standards.
  • End-to-end support to enterprise counterparts, identifying root-cause of complex enterprise initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting skills across complex enterprise applications, server, and endpoint environments.
  • Ability to learn onboard and adapt to new technologies.
  • Privileged access management/right management experience, designing solutions based on least privilege.
  • Knowledge of malware operation, indicators or threat.
  • Current threat landscape knowledge.
  • Entry Cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
