Job Overview

The Senior Formulations Expert will lead the crop protection group, overseeing multiple research teams and guiding product testing and registration. Key responsibilities include leadership and strategic planning, research and development management, cross-functional collaboration, regulatory compliance and intellectual property, global representation and technical collaborations, and team development and talent management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the crop protection group, lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team, drive discovery and commercialization of novel products, and own and manage Technical Excellence teams.
  • Research and Development Management: Oversee experiments and studies, manage research projects, develop novel bioformulations, lead design and development of crop protection inputs, oversee patent filing, and identify novel active ingredients.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate product development and commercialization, provide scientific expertise, foster collaboration with external stakeholders, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Global Representation and Technical Collaborations: Represent the organization at conferences, establish and maintain strategic collaborations, and act as a global ambassador by building relationships with key opinion leaders.
  • Team Development and Talent Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and researchers, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a culture of scientific excellence.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Plant Biology, Crop Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agri-input Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 12 years of postdoctoral experience in Agri-biotech companies or biotechnology industries focused on Agri-input formulations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing novel bio-based formulations for crop improvement and protection.
  • Experience working with multiple active ingredients in agri-input bioformulations.
  • Strong command of fundamental plant molecular biology techniques.
  • Proven ability to lead highly skilled teams in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical environments.
