Job Title: Category Manager

A high-performing Category Manager is required to drive growth and profitability in a key product category.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy to capitalize on market trends and consumer demand.
  • Analyze sales data, market gaps, and consumer trends to build competitive product offerings.
  • Owning the profit and loss (P&L) for the category - sales, margins, inventory, and marketing expenses.
Assortment & Merchandising:
  • Create product assortment plans aligned with consumer demand, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to design campaigns, promotions, and seasonal collections.
  • Optimize pricing, discounting, and promotions to drive profitability and conversion rates.
Vendor & Brand Management:
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and supply commitments with vendors to ensure business continuity.
  • Onboard new brands and products aligned with category strategy to enhance product offerings.
  • Evaluate and improve vendor operations from procurement to fulfillment to minimize disruptions.
Operations & Performance Management:
  • Collaborate with supply chain, inventory, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Monitor daily sales, stock levels, and category performance metrics to take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to benchmark pricing, product assortment, and category trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with marketing teams to execute category campaigns and promotions.
  • Partner with product and technology teams to enhance category visibility, navigation, and consumer journey.
  • Provide insights to finance teams on budgets, forecasting, and ROI measurement.
