The SMART warehouse solution is a cutting-edge initiative aimed at mitigating challenges during the storage period in Bodhan, Telangana. As part of this pilot project, Indian Grain Storage Management and Research Institute (IGMRI) is conducting a one-year study to evaluate its effectiveness.

**Job Summary:**

The Junior Research Fellow will be deployed at a warehouse facility to gather crucial data related to grain storage and management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Training: Provide hands-on training to warehouse staff on various aspects of the SMART warehouse project, including software and hardware components.
  • Sample Analysis and Data Collection: Conduct grain sampling, perform infestation assessments, calculate moisture content percentage, record temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide levels.
  • Monitoring and Field Data Submission: Review CCTV feeds, monitor SMART warehouse dashboard, prepare monitoring reports, and record/upload collected data electronically.
  • Coordination: Assist in ensuring seamless working of sensors, cameras, and real-time data uploads, coordinate with warehouse staff and stakeholders, and facilitate smooth and timely implementation of the research project.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

The ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background in agricultural sciences or a related field. Additionally, they should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in using computer software and hardware.
