Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Operations Manager. This role involves overseeing various operations functions within our organization, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to manage and develop teams, and have a strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and risk management principles.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee operational activities within the designated functional area.
  • Develop strategies to improve staffing processes and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners to achieve business objectives.
  • Work independently on complex issues and projects.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.
  • Provide training, performance evaluation, and coaching to team members.
  • Make decisions regarding resources, objectives, and operations of the functional area and team.
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operational functions within scope of responsibility.
  • Collaborate and influence professionals at all levels.
  • Lead teams to achieve objectives and manage allocation of people and financial resources.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 4+ years of operations experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree holder in a business-related field such as banking, accounting, or finance.
  • 5-10 years of people management experience in sanctions screening operations.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) compliance.
  • Knowledge of message types SWIFT, FED WIRE, CHIPS, Telex, and IntelliTRACS system is an advantage.
