US Sales Tax Manager Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our end-to-end sales and use tax compliance for US operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Tax Compliance Management: Oversee accurate and timely filing of returns across multiple states and jurisdictions, collaborating with external consultants, state departments, and auditors as needed.
  • Tax Guidance: Provide expert advice on customer invoicing, pricing structures, and procurement tax implications to internal stakeholders.
  • Legislative Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on US indirect tax legislative and regulatory changes, assessing their impact on business operations.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure system tax settings are accurate and updated, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in US sales & use tax, including filing and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-state tax laws, exemptions, and audit procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
