We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the position of an Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our team and contribute to our success.

About the Role

This role involves providing support in various areas including direct tax, structuring and advisory on deals, drafting and reviewing deal documents, and handholding in conceptualizing deals. The successful candidate will also be responsible for undertaking health checks and preparing due diligence reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Structuring and advisory on deals from a tax perspective and foreign exchange control perspective.
  • Drafting and review of deal documents including term sheets, loan agreements, and disclosures.
  • Handholding in conceptualizing deals with specific focus on India entry/exit strategy, favorable holding jurisdiction, tax efficiency, and commercial rationale.
  • Advisory on possible structuring through the IFSC Gift city.
  • Front-ending and liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Undertaking health checks and preparing due diligence reports.
International Tax and FEMA Advisory
  • Advisory assignments on international tax issues including PE, profit attribution, business connection, expat tax, ESOPs, indirect transfer, POEM, capital repatriation, royalty, FTS, broadcasting rights, and tax transparent entities.
  • Effective tax rate (ETR) planning analysis for an Indian promoter held group with 190+ entities.
  • Advisory on FEMA and assistance in compounding application.
  • Assistance in lower withholding applications, condonation applications, assessments, appeals at all levels. Engaging with Senior Counsels, preparing synopsis and briefing.
