Job Title: Senior Portfolio Recovery Specialist

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage third-party collection agencies to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory norms.
  • Develop and implement performance benchmarks, SLAs, and dialler strategies to monitor agency performance and drive recovery strategies.
  • Conduct regular reviews, audits, and training sessions to improve agency adherence to policies and enhance team efficiency.
  • Resolve escalations and disputes involving external collection partners, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing losses.

 

Role Overview:

This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in collections management, preferably in NBFCs/Banks/Fintech. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of delinquency management, risk controls, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include leading and managing the calling team, implementing dialler strategies, and ensuring quality assurance and fair practices. The successful candidate will also design and implement end-to-end collection strategies for early- and late-stage buckets.

The portfolio recovery specialist will work closely with product, credit, and legal teams to develop account resolution strategies, maintaining accurate MIS and dashboards to track collection performance and agency metrics.

 

Required Skills:
  • Graduate/Post-Graduate in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in collections management, preferably in NBFCs/Banks/Fintech.
  • Strong understanding of delinquency management, risk controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience working with collection agencies and tele-calling operations.
  • Proficiency in MIS, analytics, and collection tools (diallers, CRM).
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High ownership mindset and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong ethical foundation and customer empathy.
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in digital collections and automation tools.
