Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Collections Strategy Manager to lead our team in developing and executing collection strategies that drive high collection rates while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing internal and external data to build collection strategies, managing teams within the collections department, and monitoring repayment metrics to influence vendor strategies and maximize repayment at optimal cost.

You will also partner with Product and Risk teams to drive operational strategies across collections and recoveries, leveraging industry trends to assess and recommend short-term and long-term repayment and collections strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in collection rates.
  • Develop and execute collection strategies that meet business objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage teams within the collections department to ensure sufficient staff members handle workload.
  • Monitor repayment metrics such as collections, recoveries performance, delinquency rates, auto pay, etc., and influence vendor strategies to maximize repayment at optimal cost.
  • Partner with Product and Risk teams to drive operational strategies across collections and recoveries.

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Math, Economics, Business, or related disciplines.
    • 5+ years' experience analyzing data and using database query language (e.g. SQL), analysis, and programming developer tools like Python, R, Databricks Analytics.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
