Job Title: Operations Management Professional

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cargo Planning and Execution Strategy: Develop and implement end-to-end planning of ODC (Over-Dimensional Cargo) shipments to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize cargo movement strategies in alignment with customer requirements and vessel schedules, ensuring timely allocation of bookings and secure space as needed.

Rate Management & Customer Negotiations

  • Leverage rate quotation and negotiation expertise, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability through strategic rate management and standardization.
  • Develop and approve rate offerings based on market trends and operational feasibility, driving revenue growth and customer satisfaction.

Vessel & Booking Coordination

  • Ensure timely updates of bookings in the EBMS system and with carriers, streamlining communication and reducing errors.
  • Collaborate with the planning team to secure space, including feeder service requirements when necessary, to meet customer demands and minimize turnaround time.
  • Monitor carrier bookings and update rates in the system and vessel/voyage information before release, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Supervise container allocation coordination with the inventory and MNR teams, arranging Empty Container and CSC certificates as per carrier requirements for smooth container gate-in processes.
  • Optimize container inventory planning to meet customer demands, minimizing turnaround time and maximizing efficiency.

Customer & Stakeholder Communication

  • Ensure customers receive updated vessel schedules based on cargo readiness, improving visibility and reducing delays.
  • Drive efficient communication with customers regarding container pickup status, required documentation, and compliance with List & VGM cut-offs, enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Oversee ODC permissions coordination for operations and carriers, ensuring seamless container gate-in processes.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

  • Validate booking forecasts alignment with planned vessel schedules, ensuring accurate capacity planning and reduced waste.
  • Approve dimension changes, liaising with pricing teams for revised rate approvals, to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
  • Supervise SOC/COC containers linking with carriers, ensuring seamless operations and efficient use of resources.

Performance Monitoring & Process Optimization

  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring key performance metrics across planning, execution, and customer service functions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction, aligning with business objectives and industry best practices.

Post-Shipment Coordination

  • Share ON-BOARD confirmation with customers in a timely manner, ensuring transparency and trust.
  • Direct RCVS and LODF entries completion post-shipment confirmation, streamlining administrative tasks and reducing errors.
