We are currently seeking an accomplished Gastroenterologist to fill a key role in our team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with conditions related to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract and liver, as well as performing both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and manage disorders of the digestive system including acid reflux, ulcers, IBS, IBD (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), liver diseases (hepatitis and cirrhosis), and pancreatic and biliary conditions.
  • Perform procedures such as upper GI endoscopy (OGD scopy), colonoscopy, ERCP, sigmoidoscopy, and capsule endoscopy (if available).
  • Evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. surgery, oncology, radiology) for comprehensive patient care.
  • Counsel patients on preventive GI care and lifestyle changes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and prescriptions in accordance with hospital protocol.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine (DM) or Doctor of National Board (DNB) in Gastroenterology from a recognized institution.
  • Valid Medical Council of India/State Medical Council registration.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
  • Strong clinical acumen and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent patient interaction and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in managing ICU/critical GI cases.
  • Exposure to hepatology and liver transplant cases (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMRs) and reporting software.
  • National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH)/Joint Commission International (JCI) hospital experience is advantageous.
