Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our design practice for retail experience. This role will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of user-centered design solutions, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and business impact across digital and physical touchpoints in the retail sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Define and execute the design vision and strategy for retail experience, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of UX/UI designers, researchers, and content professionals
  • Design Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation through prototyping, testing, and final implementation
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, scalable, and innovative design solutions
  • User-Centric Innovation: Champion user research and data-driven design, ensuring products meet and exceed customer expectations in retail environments
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce design best practices, accessibility standards, and brand guidelines
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary design advocate, collaborating with leadership and cross-functional partners to align design initiatives with company objectives
  • Design Community: Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the design team and across the organization
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Design Expertise: Deep knowledge of UX/UI design, design systems, interaction design, and user research methodologies
  • Retail/Consumer Tech: Understanding of retail convenience, consumer technology trends, and digital/physical customer journeys
  • Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, mentor, and lead high-performing design teams
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to address complex user and business challenges
  • Innovation Mindset: Passion for leveraging design to create exceptional user experiences and drive business value
