Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations for new and existing clients, encompassing sector outlook, business model assessment, financial analysis, and peer benchmarking.
  • Prepare detailed appraisal reports with clear risk identification, mitigation strategies, and recommendations for internal credit committees.
  • Maintain regular interaction with clients' senior management to comprehend business performance, strategy, and financial prospects.
  • Monitor portfolio companies through a combination of desk reviews and field visits; identify early warning signs and collaborate with the relationship team on corrective actions.
  • Support credit renewal and annual review processes by collaborating with internal stakeholders across business, legal, and compliance.
  • Form independent views on credit exposures and provide structured recommendations on lending decisions and portfolio actions.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, including process enhancements, technology adoption, portfolio analytics, and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or related field, accompanied by 1–5+ years of relevant experience in credit underwriting or credit risk in the mid-corporate/SME/structured lending segment.
  • Prior experience in banks, NBFCs, debt funds, rating agencies, or transaction advisory/due diligence roles is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to interpret financial statements, assess financial health, and model business scenarios.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit matters clearly and concisely.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to work under tight timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling), PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across regions for client meetings and on-ground due diligence.
