Job Description

Credit analysts play a vital role in the financial industry by providing insightful credit analysis. They are responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough credit underwriting of proposals from non-banking finance companies (NBFCs) and financial institutions (FIGs), adhering to bank policy.
  • Maintaining a high-quality portfolio by efficiently processing all credit proposals and post-disbursement credit control.
  • Ensuring timely credit appraisals as per bank policy, requiring close coordination with other departments.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CIBIL checks and internal deduplication processes.
  • Ability to analyze proposals received from the business/sales team, raise and resolve queries as necessary.
  • Experience conducting pre-appraisal senior management meetings and branch visits.
  • Skills in preparing credit appraisal memos for term loans to NBFCs/FIGs, covering key aspects of management, financials, operations, and portfolio reviews.
  • Ability to recommend loan amounts and present loan proposals to the credit committee.
  • Skills in preparing draft sanction letters covering stipulated conditions.
  • Monitoring loan utilization and conducting periodic site visits.
  • Following up with delinquent clients, assessing ongoing early warning signals for existing clients.
  • Performing additional tasks assigned by management.
