Senior Credit Professional

We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Credit Professional to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for comprehensive credit appraisal, underwriting loan applications, and ensuring the qualitative health of the loan portfolio.

The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills, a keen understanding of non-performing asset trends, and the ability to make timely credit decisions while maintaining excellent customer and cross-functional interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Appraisal & Underwriting: Conduct thorough credit appraisal for loan applications within defined guidelines. Based on the appraisal, take decisions or recommend for approval to higher authorities. Ensure underwriting cases meet the desired level of quality, enabling achievement of business objectives through proper training and guidance to relevant teams.
  • Financial Assessment: Utilize performance history along with liquidity, debt/asset management, and profitability ratios to assess creditworthiness in loan evaluations.
  • Portfolio Growth & Management: Actively monitor and ensure the healthy increase in stock on hire volume of business.
  • NPA Trend Analysis & Management: Analyze NPA trend based on area, industry, sector, and other relevant factors. Proactively interact with customers to understand their business and regularly monitor delinquencies/loans less than 12 months NPA.
  • Portfolio Quality Assurance: Ensure a qualitative portfolio by implementing strategies to prevent the occurrence of infant 12 months NPA.
Daily Tasks:
  • Loan File Accessing: Daily accessing of loan files for processing and review.
  • Case Discussions: Conduct daily case discussions with the Sales team to align on strategies and requirements.
  • Credit Underwriting Preparation: Prepare credit underwriting reports for all assigned cases.
  • Customer Interaction: Conduct personal discussion calls with customers to assess financials & banking details.
  • Decision Making: Make timely decision-making on cases within a predefined turnaround time.
  • Tele-Verification: Conduct tele-verification calls to customers for due diligence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Expertise in credit appraisal and loan underwriting.
  • Strong financial analysis skills, including assessing liquidity, debt/asset management, and profitability ratios.
  • Proficiency in NPA trend analysis and delinquency monitoring.
  • Ability to interact with customers and understand their business.
  • Experience in managing and improving portfolio quality.
  • Strong decision-making abilities with adherence to turnaround times.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Proficiency in preparing credit underwriting documentation.
  • Experience with tele-verification calls.
