Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Retail Operations Manager to drive business growth, excellence, and team development across multiple retail outlets within a designated region. As a strategic leader, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing store profitability, enhancing customer engagement, and ensuring operational efficiency.

 

About the Role
  • P&L Management: Drive revenue and cost targets by working closely with the business team, focusing on store profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Change Management Leadership: Spearhead and implement business initiatives and change programs, ensuring smooth transitions and team adoption of new processes and strategies.
  • Employee Retention & Development: Recruit, develop, motivate, and retain high-performing store teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and reduces attrition.
  • Customer Experience & Retention: Ensure an exceptional customer experience across all stores, educating customers about personalized plans and driving strong customer engagement and retention.
  • Performance Reporting & Insights: Analyze key performance indicators and operational data, generating comprehensive reports and providing actionable insights to the business team.
  • SOP Adherence & Operational Excellence: Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring consistent brand standards and operational efficiency.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the business team to implement national strategies at a local level, providing valuable market feedback and contributing to the evolution of our retail model.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform regional strategies and contribute to broader business development.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 7-8 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree or 2-3 years of experience with Master's Degree from Tier 1/Tier 2 MBA college.
  • Proven track record in managing Store level P&L and driving financial results.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing change management initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and generation of actionable insights.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, emphasizing customer education and personalized solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and reporting tools.

 

Competencies
  • Experience: Proven retail management experience with significant time in multi-store operations.
  • Education: MBA/PGDM in Marketing or Operations highly preferred; Bachelor's degree minimum.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead, mentor, and scale large teams (30+ indirect reportees).
  • Strategic Vision: Capacity for annual business planning, sales forecasting, and market opportunity visualization.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong P&L management, cost control, and budget oversight.
  • Operational Mastery: Deep understanding of retail operations, compliance, and store hygiene.
  • Sales Driver: Consistent track record of achieving and exceeding challenging sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Customer Escalation Management: Handle ground-level customer escalations and report to the business team.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-Solver: Logical decision-making in high-pressure situations, focusing on remedying discrepancies.
  • Adaptability: Ability to initiate and manage change effectively within the organization.
