We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Construction Estimator to manage the costs associated with construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Senior Construction Estimator will be responsible for:
- Estimating costs associated with construction projects
- Managing budgets and contracts
- Working with project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Key Responsibilities:
- Study project scope and design requirements
- Validate technical specifications
- Optimize specifications without deviating from client requirements
- Validate bill of quantities (BOQs) and backup workings
- Presentation of BOQs and solutions to management for approval
- Checking of RA bills and final bills
- Preparation of amendments
- Validation of budget cost analysis based on benchmark cost matrix
- Submission of different budget options considering alternative solutions
- Exploring new products and taking them to approvals
- Proposing different optimization options in budgets
- Completion of budget requirements within given timelines
- Preparation of reports on cost analysis of projects
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detailed understanding of systems and construction processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
