US Tax Associate

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced tax professional to join our team in Mangalore, India. This is a full-time hybrid position that involves working both remotely and in-office, as scheduled by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review US personal (1040), corporate (1120), and trust income tax returns.
  • Apply US tax treaty provisions to cross-border tax transactions.
  • Support sales tax filings and registrations.
  • Contribute to tax planning initiatives for cross-border transactions.
  • Draft and organize working papers for income tax filings.
  • Aid in tax audits with the IRS, including client coordination and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior staff and partners on tax strategies and planning.
  • Develop strong client relationships and understand their business needs.
  • Apply project and process management skills, particularly during tax season.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years' experience in preparing/reviewing 1040 and 1120 tax returns.
  • Public accounting/tax experience preferred.
  • Strong client communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master of Commerce preferred).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with tax software is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent team collaboration and multitasking ability.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous professional development.
