We are seeking an experienced Loan Risk Reviewer to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Reviewing and analyzing loan risk to determine the likelihood of approval or rejection
  • Ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
  • Performing required analysis of property appraisal to meet our criteria
  • Determining and documenting loan conditions, communicating requirements, and/or decisions
  • Identifying portfolio risks resulting from client business practices
  • Documenting and effectively communicating reasons for loan approval or rejection
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth processing of loans

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of recent US mortgage front-line underwriting experience into residential real estate
  • Experience with compliance review, disclosures preparation, closing, doc preparation, and due diligence in the residential mortgage industry
  • Demonstrated understanding of mortgage guidelines and policies for VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC & USDA
  • Experience analyzing and calculating qualifying income from various tax documents
  • Experience analyzing credit reports and bank statements calculation of qualifying income from various tax documents
  • Experience with both Automated Underwriting System (AUS) and manual underwriting methods including DU and LP
  • Working knowledge of running and reviewing third-party loan-level Fraud Reports and experience working on Non-QM loans would be preferred
  • Strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction with superior verbal and written communication skills

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
