Senior Underwriter Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to review and verify loan applications, analyze loan risk, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan Review and Verification: Verify accuracy and completeness of loan applications and support documentation.
  • Loan Risk Analysis: Analyze loan risk and request additional information as necessary.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Portfolio Management: Identify portfolio risks resulting from client business practices and document reasons for approval or rejection of loans.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of recent US mortgage front-line underwriting experience in Residential Real Estate.
  • Skills: Demonstrated understanding of mortgage guidelines and policies for VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC & USDA; experience analyzing and calculating qualifying income from various tax documents; experience analyzing credit reports and bank statements.
  • Qualifications: High producer with attention to quality, strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction with superior verbal and written communication skills.
