Financial Accountant Job

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial professional to join our organization.

This role is crucial in managing the firm's financial operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards for venture capital funds. The Financial Accountant will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, tax compliance, and payroll operations.

  • Fund Accounting:
    • Manage day-to-day fund accounting activities, including maintaining general ledgers, journals, and financial statements for the fund.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
  • US Taxation Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with US taxation laws for venture capital funds, including preparation and filing of tax returns.
    • Monitor and stay updated on changes in US tax regulations affecting the fund's operations and investor relations.
  • Payroll Management:
    • Oversee the payroll processing for employees, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and audits, providing insights into the financial health of the organization.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that financial operations comply with relevant regulations, including fund reporting and tax filings for both US and Indian jurisdictions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting, or a related role, with a strong understanding of US taxation for venture capital firms.
  • Experience in payroll management for employees, with in-depth knowledge of tax laws.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with accounting software and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
