Manufacturing Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to coordinate manufacturing activities with Cross Functional Teams (CFT), drive cycle time reduction and capacity improvements, lead continual improvement activities, manage supplier follow-up for assembly line installation, oversee spare management, facilitate new projects and Lean initiatives, champion suggestion and kaizen activities in manufacturing. The successful candidate will also prepare and support colleagues in developing PFMEA/SOP documents and adhere to International Automotive Task Force (IATF) requirements. Additionally, the coordinator will provide lead support for IATF and MAFACT audits with team members, participate in regular meetings with Manufacturing Engineering teams, and guide them as needed by coordinating with superiors.

  • Liaise with suppliers to select, negotiate, and review technical aspects of automation vendors and fixtures/tools manufacturers.
  • Demonstrate strong technical and practical knowledge of assembly lines and automotive products.
  • Design reviews and adopting lean concepts, including SPM ideas, low-cost automation, and core tools adherence on the shop floor.

a). Assembly - Equipment Supplier Coordination, Planning & Implementation

  • Evaluate process facilities, discuss and select suppliers under superior guidance.
  • Conduct manufacturing reviews, pre-delivery buy-offs at supplier sites.

b). Manufacturing Engineering/Process Planning, Validation, Change Management

  • Assess ergonomic and workability during process reviews.
  • Participate actively in system team meetings.
  • Lead PCN/ECN activities at the assembly level.
  • Analyze cycle time; prepare line balancing charts, calculate capacity.
  • Update process documents, implement change management.

c). Program Management & Reporting

  • Develop proactive planning and risk assessments.
  • Oversee new machine installations/proving.
  • Attend periodic meetings with CFT.
  • Maintain commitment towards reaching milestones.
  • Update LRR and PDP according to MAFACT guidelines.

Conduct feasibility studies for assembly levels.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/B.Tech)

8-12 years of experience
