Senior Payroll Specialist Job Description

The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting timesheet data and payroll information, entering data into payroll and administrative databases, calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, and commissions.

  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns
  • Perform payroll reconciliations
  • Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes

Additionally, the Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for preparing periodic payroll reports, managing year-end activity, and resolving client queries over the phone and via email.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Payroll Processing
  • Timesheet Collection and Payroll Information Management
  • Calculating Wages, Benefits, Tax Deductions, and Commissions
  • Preparing and Processing Paychecks and Cash Deposits
  • Payroll Reconciliations and Financial Reporting

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or related field
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)

Essential Competencies:

  • Documentation and Excel skills
  • Proficiency with payroll software
  • Reliability and honesty
  • Ability to work based on shift timings
  • Multi-country payroll and taxation knowledge

Achieving Success:

  • Experience with AADHAR compliances
  • Knowledge of Indian labor laws
