Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate incoming materials and supplies to ensure they meet quality standards.

  • In cases of non-acceptance, provide clear failure reports to senior management.
  • Manage stock inventory of reagents used in testing and maintain proper identification.
  • Maintain accurate records of received test reports from suppliers.
  • Ensure timely reporting of instrument failures and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
  • Maintain proper instrument identification, calibration status, product displays, and catalogs.
  • Retain samples of failed materials until final decision from senior management is made.
  • Conduct goods inspections (finished and semi-finished) according to quality procedures or inspection plans for glass wool, flexi duct, and pipe sections.
  • Prepare daily management information system reports and maintain all documents according to implemented quality systems.
  • Provide verbal feedback on production issues that do not meet requirements or specifications for immediate corrective action.
  • Verify proper packing (identification of goods, cartons, and polythene) of finished goods through visual inspections. Notify shift-in-charge in case of non-conformity.
  • Perform random checks of glass wool retain samples in QC for LOI/moisture content.
  • Perform long-duration tests for glass wool products, pipe section products, and flexi duct products.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Chemistry preferred.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the glass industry or chemical manufacturing sector.

Industry Preference:

  • Experience in the glass industry, particularly insulation, or related fields like chemicals and building materials.
