Job Description

We are seeking a skilled automation professional to join our team as a Software Development Engineer in Test.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the development of our flagship product, YugabyteDB. As part of our team, you will design and implement robust automation frameworks, validate complex workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain enterprise-grade standards.

You will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans and test cases, covering cluster lifecycle management, security, networking, and platform integrations. Additionally, you will perform performance and scalability testing across VM-based deployments and Kubernetes environments.

  • Design and implement automation frameworks for REST APIs, UI testing, and system-level and end-to-end workflows.

As an experienced automation engineer, you will have a strong background in Python and Java programming languages, as well as experience testing distributed systems or microservices. You will also have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, hybrid environments, and familiarization with REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native technologies.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in automation testing, preferably in infrastructure, database, or enterprise software.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
  • Experience testing distributed systems or microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, hybrid environments, and familiarization with REST APIs, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native technologies.
